Okay so I'm mixed. I do not want to be harsh on this game. I think that this demo is a bad way of weighing interest in the game as this feels like the game's fetus steps, rather than a proper shot for it to be in the spotlight. There are a few issues I have. I do not want to compare this game to Pizza Tower because that game released and it's unbeatable by a short demo, but this demo falls into many pitstops that the first demo of Pizza Tower falls into. For example, the player character whose name is never revealed has far too litle moves. The grow move feels limited, and could easily make a full game mindless. The player character needs to be able to do more things and have far more options for conquering obstacles than this. Secondly, the presentation is not awesome. The art is high quality, but the main character's design is kind of ugly, and the first background is very low detailed making it feel dull and boring. The music also feels very basic without trying to go for any style or praticular feeling. The main grow move feels weird because it looks more like the character getting inflated rather than the character actually growing. Overall this demo is okay but I hope you can understand why so little people would desire to see the final game. I do want to see the final game. This demo is better than the first Pizza Tower demos ever were, but this game is going to need fundumental reconstruction.
This game is extremely fun and good, i really hope to see it get a full release someday (at least i hope this is just a demo)
The gameplay is more of a Wario land, Celeste and Mario fusion. The stretch mechanic feels really good and it works really great as a jump alternative as well as doing a lot of other things, It's really satisfying to find ways to use it in platforming.
The only minus i can find is that the camera is a little bit janky and the escape timer feels way too unforgiving, i ran out of time mid escape even though i wasn't really slowing down at any point of it. Overall this is a very great game and i'm very happy to see another game inspired by Wario land 4 since that game deserves more love than it gets right now.
Hey Svinoborov! Thanks so much for playing and I'm stoked you like the game <3. We love Wario Land 4 - especially Psychefunk!
This release was a test to see if enough people were interested in the game and unfortunately, not many people played it so we're not going to proceed with it :(. It's still awesome though, and we're very proud of what we made!
Very sad to hear. I really would like to see this game at least get a short full version with 5-6 levels. I think you could give it a bit more time since only 19 days passed since it was released, and the full version could get even more popular. (also my name is DogIsSus, Svinoborov games is just my "Studio" name)
